Bake is owned and run by Fiona Martin who started out in the pastry business in 1994 when she started her apprentice at The Rolling Pin in Ocean Grove. After 5 years at The Rolling Pin, Fiona travelled extensively overseas and financed her travels by working for many caterers such as Harrods in London, and also as a personal cook for a number of families.
Privately, Fiona has over the years made many themed party cakes, wedding cakes, and other celebratory cakes for friends and family. They have always marveled at her skill and enjoyed the taste of her creations, and subsequently urged her to use her skills and present it to the open market place.
Bake now has regular stalls at most of the Surf Coast markets.
